Top Gear filming a road trip in Israel & the Middle East
As we said back at the end of September when we reported that Top Gear were busy filming for the next series in New York, this is the time of year when Messrs Clarkson, Hammond and May get to travel the world playing at Four-Wheel-Whickers. September was the USA – ending up in NYC – and now the weather’s getting cooler in North America they’ve ventured off to the Middle East. It looks as if Top Gear are busy filming an epic roadtrip across chunks of the Middle East.
The Jaguar XF Sportbrake will debut at Geneva 2012
The Jaguar XF Sportbrake – the long awaited Jaguar XF Estate – will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The Jaguar XF Sportbrake (XF Estate) has been a long time coming, but Jaguar finally gave official confirmation the XF Sportbrake was on the way back in November. Since that official confirmation of the Sportbrake we’ve had a couple of teases from Jaguar, first with a photo of Santa loading gifts in to the boot of the Sportbrake – complete with @sportbrake camouflage – and a subsequent tease with an image of the Sportbrake festooned with stuff it will accommodate pasted across the back.
Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 vs G63 AMG
The Mercedes G 63 AMG is a mad car in its own right (although not as mad as the G 65) and costs almost £125k before you start ticking any option boxes. But the G 63 AMG is bullet proof, will go anywhere and does come with many of the luxuries you’d rightfully expect in a £125k car, even if its on-road handling – particularly if you decide to make the most of the 5.5 litre V8 turbo’s performance – is pretty woeful round the bends. Mad and irrational though the G 63 may be, it now has an even madder sibling – the Mercedes G 63 AMG 6×6 – which not only adds an extra axle for 6WD but comes at a price – almost £400k – that makes the G 63 seem a bargain.
